Art and Nature at Bluffside Park, Winona

Shift Happens at Bluffside Park in Winona, Minnesota.  Sarah Johnson and Marcie Ratliff shared art opportunities. This event was curated by Sharon Mansur.

Sharon Mansur and Sarah Johnson at the beginning of the experience.  We were invited to take a breath and notice the area around us and then follow the signs for the adventure--that we could participate in or pass.

Creating installations with colorful leaves and sticks was fun.

Sticks, leaves, pipe-cleaners, googly eyes and puff balls were fun to play with.

Then write a message on the ground to share with friends?

Art and Love in a Weekend at the Lodge

We had the privilege to celebrate with our niece and her fiance in their wedding on September 12, 2020.  Due to the pandemic, our humongous family could only partially attend in person.  The others got to view and be part on zoom.  My amazing husband, Bob, did all the research to make all of the sound and video work.  I was part of the support team.  I handled the camera video for the zoom live feed.

Donna was at the opening of the H2Oh exhibit in early September.  I had the opportunity to talk with her about her art quilt.  It is entirely painted with thinned acrylic paints on unbleached muslin fabric. All the fine lines are her painted brush strokes. She hand stitched and machine stitched the layers of the art quilt together.

Some one asked if I had a favorite at the show.  Mmmm, so many amazing pieces of art.  How would one choose?  I like so many for so many different reasons.  I think I need to go back to take another look.  Want to join me?  Do you have a favorite?
